Double Mommy

Can you imagine 2 of me? Well according to Nathan that is the case. He must have heard the word double and really liked the way it sounded because he uses it as a term of endearment. This morning when I left the house he said, "Love you Double Mommy." Sometimes when he talks to our dogs he refers to them as "Double Jake or Double Sadie". And of course he refers to his blankey and dog as "Double blankey and Double dog". It's quite sweet. I guess he doesn't understand the true meaning of the word and I almost hate to educate him on the meaning because then he will probably stop using it in his own little way, which is just so precious. So for now we will just go on being double Mommy and Double Daddy. :)

Counting!

One week before Nathan's 28m birthday he started counting to 10 unassisted! I am so excited; and it was like all of a sudden. The week before, he had started counting to 6 with help. I would hold up my fingers and he would count them but always got stuck on #4, then he started saying 4. Then like overnight he added 7 without me even encouraging him to do so. So the next day I got on board and started encouraging 9 & 10. After a couple of days of that he was doing all 10 by himself while playing with his toys and whatnot. It was the cutest thing watching him count his trains while he was playing. I am so proud of him.
